SHAKE IT OUT

Last night was the music night, which is a night where all music students come together to show off their work for the year, both of Ms. O'R's ty music classes came together to sing florence and the machines iconic song.. shake it out. We spent weeks preparing and when we got up on stage it all went really well, nobody forgot their words or sang out of key. Well done to everyone who took part because the night ran really smoothly. heres a video of or song.. BRAVEFORCE

So last wednesday, all of T.Y. went on an assault course in co. meath... it was called braveforce. I can safely say that it was one of the best days of T.Y. so far. I absolutely LOVED IT.
There was lots of muddy water and things to hop over, and it was tough, but we all managed to finish. By the end of the day we were soaking wet and we had to go up inot a freeeeeeeezing cold warehouse to dry off and get changed. words cannot desribe the coldness of that room. My hands were shaking and my lips were blue, i could actually see my own breath. It was well worth it though!
When we were all dry and changed we went into a room for the presentation of przes, and our school won the biggest enrty :) we got a trophy and brona got a medal for doing so well.
It was such an amazing day and next years tys should definately do it!!!

So last wednesday, class eriú had a drumming workshop. We were taught lots of different beats and lots of different styles of drumming... my favourite was the bass drum which was a big huge drum used for keeping the right timing. We also watched a dvd about drumming in africa which was very interesting.
I really enjoyed the workshop and it was brilliant

Work experience 2--- day 5

Today was my last day in the orchard and i was really sad leaving! I cant believe the week is over, Ive had such a great time.
My supervisor that i have been doing all my work with doesnt work fridays, so I was put with another person, and We had just gotten a shipment of animal thingys to put in your garden, so we had to put all of the barcodes on them, it took sooooooo long because we had to make sure the right barcode was on the right animal and it was a bit confusing. We spent all of our time from 9-2 doing that, and then afterwards i had a huge trolly of sweets chocolates and easter eggs to price.
then it was time to go, I'm really sad that thats all of our work experience over. I thought that it was a great oppertunity and well worthwhile because you really do learn so much from it.

Work experience 2--- day 4

Today I priced LOTS of sweets and set them out on display, and went around the shop making sure everythin was tidy. I also cleaned out and re-set the shelf that stocks all of the letters that you hang on your wall and all of the wellies (which were a Mess). I was also in charge of making sure all of the books were neat and tidy.
My biggest job of the day was pricing a load of things for the gift section and helping to set it out on display, which was fun but it took a LONG time.
I can't believe tomorrows the last day! the week went so fast!
